Dr Bolavi's first annual award-giving ceremony

5 April 2025

Top 50 medical students (top 10 from each level from 1st year to 5th year) from the School of Medicine at the University of Limpopo were awarded. Each candidate walked away with a certificate and a trophy, while the top 3 from each level were also awarded with cash prizes.

The aim of this annual award-giving ceremony is to give students a continuous external motivation in their academics, and to recognise those who showcased an outstanding academic performance.

Oath taking ceremony sponsorship

Dr Bolavis Foundation received its first of many invitations from the faculty of health care sciences at the University of Limpopo to become one of the sponsors of the oath-taking ceremony. The top 3 medical students were awarded with cash prizes.

For this ceremony, we wish to honour not only the medical students but also those in pharmacy, dietetics, nursing, medical science, and optometry, supporting their transition from students to health care professionals. The number of award categories will depend on the funds we would have raised towards this event.
